As a part of the Human Interface Devices organization at Apple, we get to work closely with
hardware and software teams to tackle many different challenges around devices with embedded
sensors and sensing firmware & software. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of
sensing algorithms running inside a wide range of Apple products.
We are looking for a driven and passionate engineering manager to lead a team of software and
firmware engineers in a pursuit of world class quality sensing algorithms. Our organization is
composed of a diverse group of enthusiastic and highly talented engineers who love to push the
limits of what is possible in the industry.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years Python programming experience in production environments
- Practical experience with Testing and Quality Engineering
- 1+ years minimum as technical team lead
- Strong communication skills (fluent English)
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to summarize results/findings
- (Optional) Practical experience with SW Automation
- (Optional) Practical experience with HW/FW/Embedded systems
Description
- Guide employees in delivery of firmware and software into production stacks
- Be a technical owner of validation infrastructure responsible for testing strategies and data
- Lead a small team: determine project prioritization, task assignment, and contribute to the
technical effort
- Represent the team and speak to results or findings in multi-functional and executive meetings
- Assess and communicate risks based on product complexity, resource and/or timeline
constraints to leadership and cross-functional partners while fostering long term innovation
Education & Experience
- Master´s degree in technical fields (or equivalent experience, Bachelor´s degree minimum).
