Apple's WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) organization focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and standard methodologies to deliver an extraordinary customer experience in the channel and drive Apple Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical, and people enablement spaces, our WW CSO team closely collaborates with many multi-functional groups at world-wide and regional levels. We are seeking an expert software engineer to join our worldwide business development and strategy team. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team that plays a key role in the overall success of our organization through technology enablement. You’ll play a critical part in driving our technology vision forward and ensuring that we implement across multiple initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project experience on large-scale distributed system or machine learning batch inference system
  • Deep experience with Relational databases and NoSQL databases
  • Advanced / expert programming skills in C++, Java, Python, SQL, Golang
  • Demonstrated project experiences with the following tools / platforms: Apache Storm, Flink, Druid, Apache Kafka, Airflow, Presto
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud computing platforms
  • Familiarity with version control systems, modern CI/CD practices, testing, and migration tools for database and software
  • Understanding of Automation, Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code concepts using tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, etc
  • Understanding of security and networking principles

Description

This is a senior full-stack software engineering role. This person will work closely day-to-day with other engineers, users, and business leaders to plan, design, build, and ship high quality software. This individual will play a critical role in driving our technology vision forward and ensuring that we can implement a cohesive vision across multiple initiatives. We are looking for candidates who: - Are extremely organized, meticulous, and detailed in every undertaking - Possess excellent problem-solving skills, critical- analytical-thinking skills, and communication skills - Are able to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly multi-functional environment Primary responsibilities include: - Participating in the overall architecture and helping to set the technical direction of the team - Crafting and implementing web APIs and architecting inter-service communication and data flows - Researching and developing new technologies and developing proofs of concept - Providing help and mentorship to less experienced team members - Writing high quality code and reviewing the work of your peers

Education & Experience

Master of Science degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Science

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
