Marcom Korea team, is part of Apple's global Marketing Communications team, and is responsible for all consumer-facing communications, including advertising, apple.com, direct marketing, Apple retail, channel, digital commerce and partner communications.
We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible individual with very strong communication skills! We require you to be strategic and capable of seeing the bigger picture and orchestrating projects to that end. This role requires the individual to constantly seek new and better ways of communicating internally and externally.
Description
The position will require close collaboration across a variety of functions, including Interactive, Channel, Partner Comms, Creative, Business Affairs, Advertising, and Operations. Additionally, we will need you to develop and maintain positive global and local relationships with product marketing, corporate communications, sales, and sales operations organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and drive all local market communication activities around the launch and sustain periods of our products as well as local seasonal opportunities
- Work closely with the Geo Marcom Lead, Product Marketing, and the Worldwide (WW) Marcom team to establish goals and product strategies for the Korean market
- Share regular planning updates and insights with WW and Geo teams on the local Apple business, including sales performance, market share, competitive information, industry happenings, and competitive trends to help guide, advise, and improve our global communications plans and efforts
- Act as the key interface between the WW Marcom teams and local Marketing teams
- Applying your good understanding of the creative strategy process and to provide leadership to a team of creative directors, producers, and strategists to plan, lead, and implement the geo-specific efforts and originations across all consumer touch points
- Be the single point of contact for campaigns from an overall process, communications, and materials perspective. This requires representing the local Geo’s needs to WW Marcom counterparts while articulating the global strategy to the broader Geo team
- Collaborate closely with local agency partners to ensure that all deliverables are aligned and accurately implemented, meeting Apple’s outstandingly high-quality standards
- Take ownership to provide critical communications input and guide all functional areas, including Channel, Interactive, Advertising and Retail
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience within the brand marketing and creative communication industries
- Business Level English and Korean Language proficiency (written and oral)
- Experience leading the development and execution of creative marketing campaigns

- Ability to prioritize, creative problem solving, and make decisions about what briefs and projects to action based on the business strategic goals and marketing KPIs
- Proven track record in establishing trust, credibility, and influence across multiple partners in order to bring consensus in a highly matrix organization
- Be resourceful, self-starting, adaptable, creative, comfortable with ambiguity, and results-oriented with proactive energy and a positive attitude
- Can-do mindset and the skills to make the complex simple
- Strong presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or advanced business degree
