This role will join the Product PR team and report into SEA Head of Corporate Communications and PR, to help create and implement PR initiatives for Apple's Mac business with an emphasis on social-first campaigns. We are looking for candidates that possess strong PR and communications skills, along with a consistent track record driving PR results across consumer technology and/or consumer lifestyle. Ideal profiles are passionate about cultivating new relationships with media and creators, and skilled at developing unique narratives and storylines that resonate with online audiences.

Description

The successful candidate will bring energy, ideas and an appetite to drive fresh and relevant storytelling. The world’s most creative, exciting and innovative work is created with Mac and our ecosystem. This role will influence how Mac brings new levels of innovation to creative industries, film, television and music production; how it enables scientific discoveries or enables medical advancements and how its versatility creates new ways of working in business, learning in the classroom, and enabling creativity in households and studios. - This role will work in partnership with agency teams across the region to create strategies and deliver campaigns that increase awareness and understanding of products and their software. - The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a variety of other teams and functions to create and deliver the activity that increases awareness and understanding. This may include other product PR managers, including Apple Intelligence and operating systems, SEA product PR Managers across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, education and health, Product Marketing and Marcom teams. - This role will help find new relationships amongst the talent and communities that use our products to deliver the world’s most exciting work, and will be tasked with leading our efforts in finding new media and social platforms through which we can tell those stories. - This role will involve travel upto 30%.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred
  • 8+ years experience in public relations, influencer relations or PR agency in Southeast Asia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Understanding of PC market an advantage.
  • Experience in media relations and developing a network of media contacts in creative, tech, design and cultural platforms
  • Successfully delivered creative PR campaigns that have created meaningful impact
  • Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology. Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
  • Able to work with ambiguity and on complex topics across multiple jurisdictions
  • Able to influence and gain alignment from others in sensitive situations—without damage to the relationship.
