Description

THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Facilities Management - Responsible for site facilities operation in designated buildings. Lead and control outsourced operation, maintenance and service team to follow up on preventive and reactive work orders. Ensure timely execution and completion to work orders. - Work with engineers to drive optimisation of the allocation of resources for the maintenance activities. - Align with all site EHS requirements and participate actively in EHS site wide program (e.g. work permit, LOTO, safety inspection). Active participation with partners to address safety concerns. - Work with Facility Engineer to establish maintenance procedures, maintenance service contracts and maintenance programs to maintain compliance with regulatory codes, corporate and budgetary requirements, and to sustain safe, reliable and efficient operation. - Ensure safe and quality service of all building MEP and process utility equipment include but not limited to HT/LV switch gears, MSBs and downstead electrical panels, Transformers, UPS, ATS, STS, Generators, VSDs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, AHUs, MAUs, FFUs, FCUs, PCW, UP/DI/RO Water Plant, Wet Scrubber, CDA, PVAC, Special Gases, Waste Water System, Fire Protection, Lighting Control System, BMS and AV equipment. - Establish effective service contracts/agreement with vendors with the necessary spare part list and effective inventory level to ensure maximum equipment uptime. - Thoroughly review maintenance service reports, preventive maintenance checklists, repair log sheet and equipment downtime to improve the Utilities and Facility systems. - Proactively attend to complaints or abnomalities and resolve the issues timely. Lead/Participate in Root Cause analysis and Safety Incidents, implement corrective & preventive measures and drive records for timely closure to prevent recurrence. - Work together with Facility engineer to plan and complete annual power shutdown maintenance without causing impact to live cleanroom operation. - Partner with soft services and project team to drive/support initiatives to meet RE&D department and site goals. PROJECT COORDINATION - Responsible to coordinate with partners to avoid causing unplanned interruption to business opeation due to ongoing infrastructure upgrading projects, labs and office building expansion. - Partner with project team to plan, complete, and track construction activities in strict compliance with drawings, specifications, construction plans, schedules, procedures, and other applicable guidelines. - Engage with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, understand scope of project works and coordinate with internal partners to ensure all project works are being completed smoothly. - Partner with soft services team to facilitate movement of business units before and after construction activities begin / complete. WORKING HOURS AND EMERGENCY CALL OUT - Shift work (4 days x 10 hours arrangement with 3 days off) - Rotate among team members to standby 24/7 for all emergency alert and call outs. - Coordinate appropriate action for rectification including preliminary analysis of fault. - Maintain register of all call outs and prepare indicent report after each call out.

Minimum Qualifications

  • - Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • - Minimum 5 years of experience working as facility engineer or technician, M&E service engineer / technician or relevant experiences.
  • - Experience in building services and planned preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems delivery to meet compliance and operation requirements are essential.

  • - Experience with clean room operation or process piping system will be added advantage.
  • - Good problem-solving and crisis management skill handling building MEP equipment serving corporate offices, R&D facilities, cleanrooms and manufacturing plants.
  • - Ability to multi-task and deliver parallel work streams to deadlines.
  • - Ability to adapt and learn quickly, with ‘can-do’ work ethic, work autonomously, approach tasks with sense of urgency and address any issues that arise day or night.
  • - Clear thinking with strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • - Great teammate, able to meet tight deadlines with ability to organise and prioritise.
  • - Ability to facilitate conversations with key partners that build trust and understanding Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • - Effective interpersonal skills in order to provide direction to contractors and vendors performing services for the company.
  • - A willingness to provide on-call support in case of emergencies or other off hours issues.
