Description

We are seeking an Indirect Tax and Revenue Accountant to support the APAC R2R team. You will manage tax filing and compliance for indirect taxes (VAT, digital taxes, WHT) in APAC and revenue accounting related processes for Channel, Online & Retail and Services line of business. You will be required to ensure accurate documentation and controls, and lead process improvements and automation solutions. You will also work with various key stakeholders within Sales Finance, Tax, Trade Compliance, to support both tax and revenue accounting responsibilities on both operations and projects. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be customer-oriented, have great communication skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. KEY REPONSIBILITIES: - Support tax filing and compliance for indirect taxes and digital taxes across regions. - Assess tax impact on changes to business operations and tax regulations. - Ensure completeness, timeliness and accurate reporting of revenue deferrals - and contra-revenue accruals in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory - accounting standards. - Execute close procedures, including journal entries, analysis on material - fluctuations and balance sheet reconciliations. - Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities. - Work with GBS and cross-functional partners collaboratively to support tax - and revenue accounting and drive resolutions to issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of related commercial experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in SAP, Advanced Excel (VBA, Macro)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA or equivalent, with US GAAP and IFRS experience will be an advantage
  • Strong team player with ability to manage across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimum supervision
