Apple’s Marcom team based in London functions not only as a Geo hub leading the work for our Europe Geo, but also as a global creative hub and center of excellence that delivers global Apple campaigns, while providing creative oversight, expertise and production capabilities to other Geos outside of Europe. This position is an integral part of the Marcom Europe Leadership Team (LT); ultimately accountable for leading the team that plans, project manages and delivers all creative origination and localisation work led by the Marcom Europe Studio (excluding any partner Agency end to end deliverables). As part of this, the role holds overall responsibility for the business operations of the Marcom group. This includes establishing internal processes and procedures to ensure that the Marcom team is functioning smoothly and efficiently. This role will be responsible together with the team for all core processes, including financial planning, reconciliation, vendor management, contribution to recruiting/staffing, and collaboration with Facilities to ensure an optimal work environment is sustained. Key Qualifications

  • Substantial experience leading an in-house Marketing Communications department and/ or equivalent experience leading delivery in an agency environment as Head of Delivery, COO or similar.
  • Experience of delivering creative projects across all parts of the spectrum - from delivering digital products and services at scale, to digital advertising and social, to brand design, to CRM and retail, as well as experience of more traditional output such as TV, Print, OOH and content.
  • A demonstrable track record of leading integrated teams to deliver complicated, integrated workflows at scale and under pressure. This includes running a large operation that works regularly across functions such as Finance, Production, Procurement, Agency Management and (if applicable) HR and Recruitment.
  • Candidate will possess a strong process orientation with clear track record of implementing best working practices that bring simplicity, greater efficiency, and the highest possible quality.
  • Experience working in an international role/matrixed organisation will be very helpful; routine travel to Cupertino and within Europe will be required.
  • This role will involve clear communication and interaction with numerous stakeholders across Marcom in Europe and worldwide – an ability to manage complexity together with ambiguity, and good interpersonal skills are crucial.

Description

Overseeing the Integrated Production Team: Hiring, coaching and leading the team of integrated producers whose job it is to deliver creative projects that will cover everything from web design, to digital products/services, to TV, OOH, Mid funnel to Performance advertising, content, social (content and advertising), Channel assets and toolkits and everything in-between. Improving the processes, workflows, methodologies and associated tools used for delivering integrated world class work. Ensuring that each and every project is set up to succeed from the outset, while helping the team troubleshoot and course correct during the project lifetime. Oversight and point of contact for all incoming briefs. Partnering with the LT to prioritise, triage, cast and cost all incoming projects, be they Europe-specific briefs, global briefs that are being run out of London, or briefs where Europe will play a supporting role creatively to other Geos. Key to this will be to develop a close working relationship with key collaborators at a functional level in both Europe and Worldwide, and fine tuning processes for delivering project updates and review cycles at key moments. Finance, Allocations and Resourcing: Working together with the Marcom leadership team, finance and the operations team, lead the mapping out of projects and workflow on a yearly and quarterly basis. Help align on scope, delivery methodology, Apple team casting + any agency support needed, and budget for each project and as a total body for all of Marcom. As part of this, oversee allocations and resourcing, and budget forecasting and reconciliation to drive efficiencies. Business Operations and Localisation Overseeing the team that manages business operations (including facilities, security, infrastructure and IT, facilities, internal comms and events) and leading the localisation strategy and delivery of all localisation work for both time critical workshops and always-on sustain work. Production: Overseeing the Production team who manage production output and vendor management across origination and sustain projects for Content, VMG/Photo and 2D Print.
