Will you help us design future generations of revolutionary Apple products? The Measurement R&D Team is responsible for developing technologies, calibration methodologies and the respective instrumentation for the calibration and validation of Apple’s products. These solutions will be used during New Product Introduction (NPI). As an intern, you gain insight in the design and deployment of effective measurement systems, including test methodology, instrument and fixture software as well as advanced mechanical design of complete measurement stations. Key Qualifications

  • We would be interested in meeting you if you have proven expertise in the following areas:
  • - Passionate about solving scientific problems
  • - Self-motivated, independent and dedicated
  • - Interested in learning about optical sciences
  • - Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree Program with a focus on: either EE / ME / Computer Science / Physical Sciences or equivalent
  • - Excellent written and verbal social skills
  • - Experience in working with international teams
  • - You are available for 4 months or more
  • Either of the following skills are a definite plus:
  • - Application programming in C/C++, Perl or Python
  • - Mechanical design preferably in SolidWorks
  • - Optical design in Zemax, Code V or LightTrans
  • - Competence in data analysis with Python, MATLAB, JMP, R or Perl
  • - Hands-on experience in optical measurement systems (characterization, test and validation)

Description

As an intern in this group, you gain insight in the design and deployment of effective measurement systems, including test methodology, instrument and fixture software as well as advanced mechanical design of complete measurement stations. In addition you will be working on deploying these instruments into some of the most advanced production lines. Depending on your skill set: - In depth analysis of optical measurement systems - HW/SW interfacing - Mechanical design of measurement setups - Statistical analysis of performance parameters
