Product Marketing is the voice of the consumer to Apple and the voice of Apple to the consumer. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Product Manager who will be principally responsible for Apple’s Mac and iPad Products in Turkey as well as coordinating our Learning focussed initiatives. The Product Manager will be the champion of these product lines, software and content. They will be responsible for successful product launches, comprehensive business and market analytics as well as closely working with all marketing to lead demand generation, define and communicate region-unique requirements for future products, and communicate to multiple partners in Turkey, and Cupertino. This position will define the long and short term product opportunities for Mac, iPad and Learning in Turkey and complete all product launches whilst collaborating with multiple internal functions including marketing communications, PR, market intelligence, developer relations and sales. This role will also be spokesperson for these products and have regular direct engagement with press and media. To be successful in this role, this person will need to have a strong passion for Apple products in addition to a solid understanding of marketing, the finesse of marketing innovative products, business as well as customer insights that help inform business decisions. The role also requires someone who is highly skilled from both a technical and business perspective with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence at all levels in the organisation. They need to be able to collaborate and influence in multi-disciplinary teams and the candidate should be comfortable working in highly confidential, fluid situations where discretion and restricted disclosure are paramount considerations.

Key Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven technical and product focused track record
  • They will have deep consumer knowledge of Apple products and the competitive landscape in Turkey
  • Experience in the technology or personal computing market in Turkey. Knowledge of coding would be useful
  • Understanding of the customer in Turkey including social, economic and cultural aspects
  • The ability to define key strategic approaches, analyse and find opportunities
  • Able to work effectively both alone and with limited supervision or as part of a collaborative team of diverse individuals
  • Able to work to a consistently high standard while maintaining attention to detail and delivering against demanding timelines.
  • Outstanding writer and verbal skills
  • Strong presentation abilities and ease of speaking in public
  • The successful candidate will be based in Istanbul should be willing to travel, and will be fluent in Turkish and English

Description

The Product Marketing Manager Mac, iPad and Learning- Turkey will be tasked with: - Building Turkish customer insights and opportunities for planning - Developing accountable strategic plans with the broader marketing and sales teams - Working with a cross-functional marketing team on product initiatives including marcom and corp comms - Feedback to Worldwide PM on product and market insights - Regular reporting on business performance including competitive landscape - Acting as a spokesperson in press, influencer and partner briefings within Turkey - Internal Mac iPad and Learning evangelism in the Turkish team - Working with our Turkish sales training on training elements - Operational liaison with local sales and internal partners - Coordinating localisation of some launch materials and product assets
