Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences.
The Greater China team develops and manages world-class marketing communication efforts that support Apple’s rapid growth in this region. This includes all consumer-facing communications across Localization, Advertising, Social, Retail, Partner, Interactive & Digital platforms, as well as support for Video & Motion Graphics.
Marcom’s Design team creates design deliverables for all marketing communications, ensuring the highest standards of aesthetic and visual excellence. We collaborate closely with multiple groups across Apple and within Marcom to engage the Greater China audience through visuals, products, and services. We make the results beautiful, and the effort invisible.
The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with designers, art directors, and creative directors to deliver creative work that resonates with the market.
The Senior Graphic Designer at Apple is responsible for originating and illustrating creative ideas to be used in marketing campaigns. This professional should be able to deliver innovative thinking, and will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver integrated and cohesive creative solutions.
- Work hands-on in the creative development and implementation of a wide range of visual design projects for multiple platforms.
- Work closely with project managers, functional producers as well as cross-functional producers. You provide direction to external vendors and production artists.
- Partner with Creative Resources in order to navigate production, by helping select the right vendors for each project.
- You must be organized, fast paced, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- You should be a proactive and independent creative, able to adapt to an ever-evolving landscape with creativity and innovation, while working in ambiguity and still delivering results on time.
- Must provide a design portfolio or work samples.
- 8+ years of overall design experience with a focus on leading creative projects, design or advertising campaigns.
- Advanced design skills, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of the design process and trends in digital and print mediums. Well versed in design fundamentals, including but not restricted to motion, typography, 3D, digital/interactive, print, video/animation and illustration.
- Fluent Chinese; good written and spoken English skills for effective communication with international team members.
- Possess a strong visual design background with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Understanding of global campaign development and localization.
- Desire to deliver at an outstanding level with a particular passion for crafting work that is thoughtful, relevant, accurate, clear and inspiring.
