Are you a highly motivated, organized person with an interest in being part of a team that develops thrilling new products in an exciting technology space? Apple’s Technology Development team is looking for a collaborative and creative Budget Specialist. We are searching for a talented individual to support Hardware Engineering teams on creating and managing program level build budgets as well as top level team budget.

Key Qualifications

  • 3 years of related industry experience. (Background in finance is preferred)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) including executive summaries
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven critical thinker
  • Self starter and can work with ambiguity
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Finance/budget experience
  • Creative problem solver with flexibility and great analytical skills
  • Team player. Can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management on different levels
  • Project Management is a plus
  • Experience with Product Development Cycle is a plus!

Description

What will you do in this role? The Budget Specialist is primarily budget focused, interfacing with cross-functional teams, and executive management to create and manage existing budgets, process purchase requisitions against those budgets as well as supporting other general activities. The role is also critical in creating budget projections and providing status updates to management ensuring we are staying within approved budgets. Applicants must have 3 years of related industry experience. Background in hardware New Product Introduction finance or project management is a plus. You will be responsible for: Gathering information from cross functional teams; own and drive program level budgets as well as top level team budget Creating efficient and scalable processes to create budget projections and track actual spend for a broad cross functional team Presenting budget projections, actual budget status and exceptions to Executives and upper management on a quarterly or bi-monthly cadence Processing Purchase Requisitions, Invoice Tracking, assist EPMs in tracking to their Build Budgets Creating, managing and communicating budget status reports Supporting other general specialist functionalities when needed, such as material tracking, shipments, and etc. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you and explore how we can have you be part of our team. Education & Experience

BA/BS Degree 3 years of related industry experience. (Background in finance is preferred)
