Operations and Supply Chain
Join the fast-paced Product Operations team. New Product Operations is pivotal to the fast-paced development and launch of Apple’s products. A successful NPO should have solid program management skill with sound knowledge/insight of both product development, as well as operation/factory and supply chain management. He/She should drive the timely decision at the right time to converge product design and facilitate all activities to ensure a successful mass production in vendor factory delivering robust quality and volume. Meanwhile this role will be also driving vendor strategy, resource and development projects
This roles requirement the person to be self driven, organized and detail/result oriented, sensitive to risk with insight for mitigation, excels in program management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an fast-changing environment; is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts; manages through relationships and influence: and displays grace under fire.
Key Qualifications
- Experience working with vendor manufacturers with depth and traveling to manufacturing sites
- 5-10 years of industry experience in one or more of the following disciplines: New Product Introduction / Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing Operations
Description
You will support the Team within EE Module/Component Operation team and provide assistance to the core product development team and other functional organizations within Apple. As the OPS Assistant, you will work with team leader to support the successful launch of the product towards meeting it’s stated schedule, Quality, Availability and Customer Experience goals.
Specific responsibilities include:
New Product Launch
ManagementSupport Apple team's new product introduction efforts within the Operations sphere. Specific goals include assistance on supply chain design, schedule, cost, quality, availability and order cycle time goals
Work with team members from across all functions within Operations to develop new product plans -support engineering build, plan/manage engineering build and mass production transition
Leading with OEM manufacturing team to installed needed process and management system, develop, ramp and introduce products by bring up material, line, process, resource readiness
Vendor Development
Assess vendor resource and capability for gap analysis, driving resource and capacity development with cross function team to enable successful product development and ramp by working deeply with vendor management, function leader as well as related Apple team

Knowledge of automation management as plus
Education & Experience
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA preferred.
