We are looking for an experienced leader to join the Apple Services Business and Marketing Operations team to lead the Budget Management team. This person should be a highly motivated self starter who loves to solve problems both as an individual and as part of a team. Both a doer and a leader, this person will lead a team of 3-5 people while also partnering with marketing leaders to deliver on budget information daily, weekly and quarterly. This person must be able to build relationships, understand the big picture while being aware of the details, and navigate a complex organization with cross-functional dependencies. The role requires someone who strives to understand both the how and the why, but also recognizes the importance of timing, relationship building, and forming trust. You will be responsible for the output of your team as individual contributions and as a budget organization. This person will be expected to effectively manage relationships with various departments with minimal supervision and be accountable for all deliverables that this person’s team oversees. This person must have excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and experience working with multiple partners with competing agendas. The Business and Marketing Operations team for Services oversees operations for our VP of Services. The Operations team is responsible for budget management, project management, people and programs, tools and platforms, and planning.

Key Qualifications

  • 12+ years relevant experience in finance or financial management
  • 8+ years experience in marketing and/or advertising
  • 5+ years managing a team

  • A strong voice in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience managing budgets across a cross-functional organization
  • Experience with organization of data, summarizing insights, and presenting results

  • Familiarity with purchase request and purchase order processes
  • Experience working cross-functionality with procurement, corporate finance and legal
  • Experience working with external partners for accounts payable/receivable
  • Experience with SAP or other financial management programs
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment and adapting to change

Description

Manage a team of 3-5 budget managers and coordinators Produce quarterly budget forecasts for 13 lines of businesses Report on monthly and quarterly accruals Manage and deliver a quarterly advertising review presentation to executive partners Coordinate with functional leads to obtain weekly reporting of spend and adjusted forecasts Partner with finance on reporting and with FP&A on business impact Work proactively to identify areas of improvement in spend management and effectiveness Create, manage and maintain workflows with cross-functional teams to reduce redundancies and communication blockers Partner with the tools and platforms team on automating manual processes Responsible for management of purchase requests and purchase orders Work with corporate procurement when applicable for issues on vendor spending Support your operations team with quarterly and fiscal year planning by forecasting future spend and potential adjustments based on roadmaps
