Description

The position will support technological research and product development for novel display technologies. We are seeking an opto-mechanical engineer to design, build, and operate demonstration and metrology platforms for miniature display applications and work with internal and external teams to transfer to high volume production. The candidate will also perform failure analysis of these systems and the products they measure in both remote and onsite capacities. We encourage self-directed work and require high self motivation. Additionally, a successful candidate needs to be flexible and receptive to ideas from a wide multi-functional team while pushing the technology envelope.

Education & Experience

Advanced degree with 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, optical engineering, physics, or related field.

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Experience with lab control & acquisition tools (e.g. Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
  • - Experienced with finite element analysis in modern FEA packages (e.g. Ansys)
  • - Familiarity with optical modeling tools (e.g. Light Tools, Zemax)
  • - Experience with diffractive optics
