Starting with Logic Pro in 2004, it quickly established a platform for innovation resulting in incredible apps like GarageBand, MainStage, Logic Remote and Voice Memos. Some 20 years later their collective impact on the industry is immeasurable having helped to fuel the work of countless artists and producers. We’re very proud of how Logic Pro has grown to represent our most cutting-edge technologies designed expressly to ignite creativity. Only at Apple could we design an ecosystem which allows for an artist to sing a melody into Voice Memos, then sculpt it into a beat with Logic Pro for iPad, and then mix it all together in Spatial audio using Logic Pro for Mac. It’s clear that music apps at Apple continue to cover an ever expanding set of creative experiences, no matter where inspiration strikes. Today, we are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to build on this legacy and help to fuel it for the next generation of artists and producers — all with an eye to leverage emerging technologies, such as machine learning and AI. This Product Manager should also help to foster strong relationships across the 3rd-party ecosystem of sound processing/instruments plug-ins and hardware device manufacturers. This multifaceted role combines both product management and product marketing together — as we believe there is simply there is no better person to communicate why a product is meaningful, than the same person that helped drive its creation. As a Product Manager at Apple, you will be the individual representing the customer voice during product development, while also creating the launch story and speaking to the media. The role includes defining new features that will delight users, drive growth, and help to shape the future of Apple’s industry-leading Apps ecosystem. You’ll have the opportunity to work with incredible hardware and software teams from across the company, handling both inbound and outbound marketing to drive the development, introduction, and evolution of our growing set of music creation products. This role will provide marketing leadership on the entire lifecycle of music creation app products. We are seeking a dedicated professional to: Research and synthesize industry, technology, market and competitive trends to inform plans and identify new product opportunities. Evangelize and pitch new ideas to cross-functional teams and executives. Communicate user needs and perspectives to the broader organization - serve as the voice of the customer for engineering and design. Craft compelling stories, copy, and images for launch materials, website, and sustaining marketing campaigns. Launch products worldwide in conjunction with marketing communications, public relations and events teams. Analyze user feedback and operational data and integrate key insights back to product development and marketing teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Product Management, Product Marketing, or Program Strategy experience with focus on creative consumer/professional products.
  • Successful track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation, and launch.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Logic Pro (macOS, iPadOS) and Logic Remote (iOS, iPadOS)
  • Solid understanding of music theory and experience playing an instrument including songwriting and performance (music, melody, lyric etc).
  • Active eyes and ears across a broad variety of current musical styles and genres like hip-hop, electronic, pop, rock and alternative.
  • Experience with professional music production workflows including recording, editing, and mixing.
  • Experience developing consumer-facing marketing materials including video content.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling talking points and stories about new technologies for a wide audience including customers, media, analysts, and industry experts.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills including previous experience with press and media.
  • Excellent presentation skills including experience in building and leading training in one-to-many situations.
  • Experience evangelizing new ideas, product proposals, and recommendations to senior executives and other important collaborators.
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to dig in and go the extra mile to deliver world-class product experiences and marketing materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree, or MBA preferred.
