We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong Machine Learning background to join our team shaping the future of Siri in Global markets by integrating the latest deep learning developments. As part of this group, your work will range across different disciplines, this involves developing sophisticated machine learning models, adopting models in global markets, data generation experiments while also being focused on the integration of personalized experiences to each of our customers.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability of development of training data, models or software in deep learning/machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, or CoreML)
  • Experience in data science and analytics, including data annotation, statistical analyses, A/B testing, and/or conducting experiments and investigations in large-scale usage data environments
  • Great coding skills and strong hands-on experience with Big Data and its application in machine learning system.
  • Experience in writing OOP software (Swift, Objective-C, C++ or C)
  • Outstanding problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational, design, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of engineers, scientists, designers, and communicate effectively with management, leadership, and cross-functional partners
  • In-depth understanding of modern ML techniques (e.g. LLM fine-tuning, optimization, data generation approaches, transformer models, supervised and unsupervised modeling approaches).
  • Fluency in English is required and multilingual ability is a plus.

Description

You will join a team that is responsible for improving the end-to-end quality of Siri. The Global Siri team is passionate about using the full spectrum of machine learning and data science approaches to improving Siri. At one end, we work on deriving business insights from large amounts of usage data to suggest new features and fundamental improvements to the user experience. At the other end, you would use groundbreaking and innovative machine learning techniques to advance the state-of-the art in natural language understanding. You will work with large datasets, develop experiments with innovative approaches, implement prototypes and finally engineer your solution to be delivered in production systems. This is an unusual opportunity that sits at the forefront of various fields such as data science and machine learning, and your work has potential to have a huge impact on hundreds of millions of users across the globe. While collaborating with partner teams across Apple, you'll contribute by sharing your experience, delivering architectural proposals that account for international market needs, and maintaining an ethos of continual learning from your counterparts. Education & Experience

M.S, Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
