Health Sensing - Sensing Hardware Prototyping Engineer
The Health Sensing Hardware team is looking for a highly-motivated optical engineer to work on the next-generation of optical health sensors.
The successful candidate will be able to leverage training in hands-on optical system design, biomedical optics and state-of-the-art optical sensing technologies to prototype and develop the next-generation of optical health sensors. This candidate should also be adept at designing experiments and analyzing user data to infer and bound real-world performance trends and emergent behavior. Lastly, the candidate must be able to distill simulation and empirical results into concise design assessments to cross-functional collaborators and senior management.
We work as a team of research scientists and hardware engineers developing technologies for the optical health sensors. We are responsible for ideating sensor concepts and building proof-of-concept implementations to demonstrate feasibility. You will also be evaluating the optical design of the sensor via simulations and empirically validate performance via user studies. The role also requires strong data analysis skills to infer trends and dependencies in the data to improve the understanding of tissue-sensor interactions and directly impact the design and performance of the health sensors. This is a highly cross-functional role and will require close collaboration with mechanical, electrical and software engineers. Lastly, you will be responsible for delivering detailed assessments and designs evaluations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
