The Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organisation produces key business and technical infrastructure at Apple — handling orders from the online store, creating applications that enhance the retail store experience, providing network bandwidth for our Services around the world, processing every transaction in iTunes, and closing the books. IS&T does it all. If you’re a born problem solver who enjoys collaborating on the next big thing, we may just have your dream internship. The Apple Internship Program is a 6-month immersion into Apple that is designed for under graduates to work with the IS&T team at the Australian head office in Sydney. The position focuses on providing day-to-day support to various parts of the organisation, while adding creative insight, problem solving and a proven sense of collaboration to both shared and individual projects.

Key Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Minimum Distinction average or higher
  • Graduating in calendar year 2021
  • Excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills
  • Driven and dynamic with strong problem solving skills
  • Leadership experience
  • Related internship experience
  • Programming knowledge in at least one of the following areas: iOS, OS X or WatchOS development (Objective-C, Swift), Web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS3), Server-side development (Java)


The internship provides opportunities on a variety of assignments, ranging from special projects for new business initiatives to Operations in a rapidly growing and dynamic setting. Interns benefit from a combination of training and project oriented, on-the-job work experience. This program offers mentorship to elevate your business insights as well as unique developmental courses allowing you to hone your proficiency in Apple Technologies, project delivery, persuasive communication and story telling. You will work multi-functionally on shared and self-led projects with members of various teams to achieve business objectives, and will be responsible for ensuring that your work is completed with the highest level of detail and to set timelines. You will also provide administrative support as needed. You will work on your own project and present your project and key takeaways to the senior management team.

Education & Experience

Desired Majors include: CS, CE, ECE, EECS, IS, IT, and other related fields of study.

Additional Requirements

  • You will be working full-time for 6 months (Feb 2020 – Aug 2020). You are an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or currently hold a valid work visa for the required 6-month period to be eligible for this role.
