As the AI/ML Annotation Ops Privacy Lead, you will play an important role in building and maintaining strong privacy controls for our ongoing operations. You will, at times, be a compliance expert, project manager, advisor, collaborator, and a messaging authority. You will partner with Legal, Privacy, PR and Engineering teams to develop guidelines, standard methodologies and establish guard rails for our annotation ops team. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with any regional or project specific privacy guidelines and establishing data handling controls. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, organized, articulate and can drive engagement across various cross-functional teams.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a legal team or privacy related program management
  • Past work experience in a technology company with understanding of software development process
  • Experience with government regulations for data and user privacy requirements like GDPR, HIPAA
  • Outstanding oral communication skills with experience collaborating with large globally distributed teams
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare guidelines that are clear and unambiguous
  • Experienced leader and strategic planner with an emphasis on compliance and eye to see around corners
  • Skilled program manager and ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously with a bias to action
  • Proficient in task management, problem solving, operating under tight timelines and adapting quickly to change


In this role, you will - Develop global privacy and risk management framework for Annotation activities and draft guidelines for data control, equipment management, content access and privacy management - partnering closely with regional Legal, Privacy, Compliance leads and Ops team - Create awareness and manage communication related to Privacy and risk management questions which may include publishing best practices documents, preparing disclosures or consent forms, and coordinating virtual & in-person sessions - Promote a culture of privacy by design in all annotation activities like project guidelines, platform controls, training documentation, performance management dashboards and reporting - Work with internal Ops and legal team to conduct Privacy reviews to meet established controls - Identify and complete operation controls to embed Privacy and data protection in ongoing Annotation processes - Influence and build relationships with all functional teams in Annotation Ops to implement privacy controls

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in law, risk management, information security management or related field - Masters degree or equivalent experience a plus - Prior experience in Privacy / Legal team
