The Platform Services & Operations team in Core OS is looking for a Software Systems Analyst to design and develop essential workflow tooling at scale. The Workflow Engineering team enables' teams to deliver high-quality software through best in class engineering experiences, efficient workflow, data driven insights, and a culture of continuous improvement. Your focus is delivering key insights that enables visualization of data across the organization in user intuitive and configurable formats.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development as data analyst, engineer or technical PM
  • Working with big data; querying and visualization, the display of quantitative information
  • Strong working knowledge of SDLC and Quality Management
  • Ability to synthesize key success measures, present policy and process recommendations to all levels of leadership
  • Effective at researching and documenting workflows/processes into workflow charts
  • Managing customer relationships; comfortable presenting to groups, collecting and implementing feedback
  • Experience planning and driving execution across disparate stakeholder groups towards a unified goal


- Translate data into insights; identify behavioral patterns and trends within large data sets - Dashboard development; visualize key information, iterate presentation and design with customers - Research and characterize the current state of software development workflow; understand systemic challenges and pinpoint processes that need improvement - Work with a team of data scientists and full stack engineers, to derive and develop targeted insights through centrally managed interactive dashboards - Engage with leadership to drive operational improvements in both quality and workflow - Work directly with teams to incorporate insights into their active monitoring and decision making processes - Monitor results of your engagements and regularly report on wins and challenges to executive leadership

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills

Additional Requirements

  • - Highly proficient in Excel and/or Numbers, summary statistics, and principles of descriptive analysis
  • - Data modeling; an understanding of data structures and design (3rd normal form)
  • - Software Development; understanding of build pipelines, merging, Agile Project Management, and the delivery of code. Basic fluency in Git
  • - API Querying; the ability to retrieve data programmatically through requests to an API. Shaping these responses into a relational store
