Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Manage WW AppleCare Warranty and Quality Program accrual balances, track Freight Warranty spend, generate Claims Forecasts, submit Transfer Pricing deliverables to Corporate, and various other warranty related initiatives impacting worldwide reporting. Utilize accounting knowledge and skills to provide monthly forecast and quarterly activities for Warranty, Quality Programs, and Freight, such as booking entries, accruals, and completing reconciliations. Fulfill quarterly requirements for transfer pricing forecasts submitted to Corporate FP&A. Based on knowledge of SAP, reengineer multiple business processes in the Quality Program space and implement automation initiatives for both our team and our regional counterparts in EMEA and APAC. Forecast expected future claims in Warranty, Quality Programs, and Freight, based on historical actuals, seasonal deviations, and other uplift factors. Resolve issues by collaborating cross-functionally with teams in AppleCare Business Intelligence (ACBI) and GBS, and providing guidance on financial transactions. Lead and coordinate the execution of all AppleCare Finance internal controls on a quarterly basis in adherence to Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX) parameters. Take on role as SOX walkthrough coordinator to be single point of contact between AppleCare Finance teams and external auditors. Complete all statutory audit requests that need to be completed and submitted to our regional counterparts in EMEA and APAC. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,443 - $201,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Financial modeling of forecasts to estimate and predict future spend and activity. These models must take into account historical data along with seasonality trends and regional factors that drive variability across different regions in the world
- SAP experience and understanding in order to extract data quickly and efficiently
- Accounting knowledge in order to have meaningful discussions across the Finance organization and to be able to complete accounting based tasks such as booking journal entries, maintaining proper accrual balances, and reconciling GL accounts
- Audit experience – experience collaborating with external auditors as well as internal business assurance and compliance teams
- Use Tableau to prepare quarter close and forecasts and present to finance leadership
- Use Excel to complete analysis including financial activity, expertise in advanced knowledge of various formulas and shortcuts in Excel
- Presenting in front of a wide variety of audiences (e.g. peers, managers, senior leadership, etc.) for articulating the financial impact of changes in the business during the quarter
