Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Equipment Engineer with a strong background in vacuum and RF systems to lead technical initiatives and mentor a growing equipment team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring equipment performance, safety compliance, and developing technical talent within the organization.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role that requires independent judgment, broad engineering insight, and a passion for solving complex equipment challenges. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement, foster a culture of safety and accountability, and bring a deep understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of equipment engineering.
- Lead and support equipment engineering activities, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of complex systems.
- Apply deep expertise in vacuum systems, RF power delivery, and associated subsystems to support production, R&D, or customer environments.
- Serve as a technical mentor and resource for engineers and technicians, helping to build a strong, capable equipment team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment upgrades, process support, and root cause investigations.
- Drive and support equipment safety programs, ensuring procedures, training, and operations meet all compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Document and communicate technical findings, best practices, and project progress clearly and consistently
- 10+ years of experience in equipment engineering or technical support roles, with knowledge of vacuum and RF-based systems
- Background in industries such as semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, R&D, capital equipment, or related fields
- Proven ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and lead by example
- Experience mentoring or managing technical personnel, with a passion for team development
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and process-related systems
- Commitment to safety-first thinking and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with a variety of process or manufacturing equipment
- Experience working as both an equipment provider and end user
