APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform accounting research and assist in the interpretation and implementation of complex reporting and accounting issues. Research and interpret new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements and assess and document their impact on the company’s financial statements, disclosures and reporting processes. Participate in the preparation and filing of external reports mandated by U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. Support the quarterly review and annual audit processes. Work closely with external auditors and assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly reviews. Collaborate with business partners to review financial reporting processes in order to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement. Interact with various individuals in the company’s functional and geographic organizations around the world. Prepare internal reports and analyses for executive and other management. Assist in governance of the relationship with the company’s external auditors. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,037 - $201,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Financial reporting and technical accounting, including experience preparing or reviewing statutory or other stand-alone financial statements;
- Working with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley 404;
- Implementing and maintaining procedures to ensure the timely accumulation of information necessary for financial reporting functions;
- Assisting with the preparation and review of financial information in press releases and investor relations materials;
- Maintaining current awareness and documentation of compliance with financial disclosure requirements;
- Preparing external reporting white papers and memorandums;
- Assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance in the financial reporting area;
- Analyzing detailed financial transaction, journal and balance data in an SAP environment;
- Obtaining and summarizing financial statement fluctuation information and presenting to executive and other leadership; and
- Tracking, reporting and enforcing company policies and governance for external auditors.
