Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer networks and common protocols (for example TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, FTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, HTTP)
  • Expertise with Linux
  • Experience with Go, Javascript, Python, or similar languages
  • Expertise building and using log aggregation and distributed monitoring tools (for example Splunk, Elastic Stack)
  • Proficiency in English language


You will join a team that builds the tooling and frameworks required to enable security engineering and operational excellence. Your work will touch on every phase of the product development lifecycle, from specifying requirements and design to development, deployment, and production. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will: Partner with security teams and program management to build production readiness metrics and automated analytics dashboards; Drive pervasive automation across all phases of software development and release; Evangelize engineering hygiene and standard methodologies across the organization; Build tools to enable engineering best practices; Dynamically build test environments on the cloud and frameworks that use them; Build tools to enable and measure resiliency in our software. Successful candidates will exhibit some of the following characteristics: Expertise with traditional programming languages (for ex.: C/C++, JavaScript, and Python) and modern programming languages (for ex.: Go, Rust, and Scala) Knowledgeable in the design and development of scalable web applications and services Experience monitoring and instrumenting both engineering and operational excellence metrics with dashboard technology (such as Grafana) Experience implementing and working with open source projects Experience establishing deployment processes and building CI/CD tools A good sense for what SLAs are appropriate and how to enforce them Experience with Agile development, and establishing and tracking criteria for ‘Definitions of Done’ Ability to recognize that defects and incidents are a precious opportunity to improve, and ability to put processes and tools in place to drive those improvements Strong project management skills, including excellent presentation development

Education & Experience

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, equivalent degree, or relevant work experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years.
