As part of our Camera Technologies group, you’ll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You’ll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we’ll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras. The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of camera hardware for all related Apple products. Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware to enable best-in-class camera user experience! We are looking for an enthusiastic, high energy individual who can help us with tomorrow’s challenges. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation camera hardware and drive integrated circuit development. You will work on custom silicon IC development lead and architect with in-depth understanding from system to chip architecture down to block level design details. You will have broad EE, fundamental physics and signal processing skills and offers a mixture of system architecture, chip level circuit design, board level circuit design. Examples of ICs developed in this role are advanced VCSEL and LED drivers with associated safety compliance circuits for camera applications in consumer products.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with designing analog or mixed-signal ICs in areas such as power management, current drivers, or analog sensing.
  • Solid design intuition and understanding of architectural trade-offs (power/performance/area, etc.) in both silicon and system-level design.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and critical thinking with strong understanding of EE fundamentals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Description

- Defining and driving IC specifications, working in tandem with camera systems, mechanical, optical, firmware, and product/test engineers. - Engagement in vendor selection, including assessment of technical capabilities and existing IP. - Working with vendors to ensure IC implementations conform to system specifications. - Reviewing and providing guidance for both vendor and internal validation plans, results, and reports. - Providing IC specific and broad electrical engineering support to camera HW and cross functional teams.

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
