The Platform Publisher-Video Lead works closely with Business, Editorial, Creative, Localisation, Ops and Production teams to lead all aspects of Channel video schedules to handle and publish digital content assets across desktop, AppleTV, and mobile devices. You will be responsible for looking ahead across a roadmap to plan for Channel projects and resource them across the team. An authority across our back-end content management systems (CMS) as well as our front-end client featuring apparatus, you will collaborate with local editorial to advise on what's possible, test new approaches, and guide teams to successful solutions. With a unique view into many concurrent projects, the Lead Publisher is able to provide a service akin to an air traffic controller, deploying current updates while simultaneously queuing up future initiatives. Detailed QA efforts ensure our activities are timely and accurate and preserve a high-quality customer experience. The Platform Publisher Lead fills a key role in safeguarding the integrity of the TV App and Apple Media Products ecosystem. The International Platform Publishing team programs, implements and deploys on-service/in-store offerings across products (iTunes Store, Apple Music, App Store, TV App, Books Store) and platforms (Desktop, Apple TV, iOS).

Key Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail across all planning, scheduling, publishing and communications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple locations, audiences and partners, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Experience delivering communications in various forms that meet the needs of the audience, including keynote, email, and virtual meetings
  • Ability to look at the bigger picture, prioritise, push back or gain consensus as needed
  • Project management experience, including setting and implementing deadlines and leading workflows across distributed teams
  • Flexible and adaptable to handle the varying demands of a fast paced company
  • Experience with web-based Content Management Systems and with bug tracking/ticketing systems
  • Experience working directly with Editorial, Localisation, Engineering and Creative teams
  • Familiar with handling resource pool across multiple projects, markets and priorities
  • Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware
  • Proficient in pop culture, media, and are passionate about entertainment


You will serve as the main point of contact for all regional video teams (business, editorial, localisation, production, ops) to develop monthly and weekly plans for regional web publishing activities Develop, refine, communicate and execute processes, efficient workflows and timelines working with the business team, design, localisation and the wider Production team and management Program and publish select video projects to ensure ongoing hands-on tool experience that will inform standard methodologies Develop and update guidelines to streamline and continuously optimise workflow for tools, roles and processes Represent the International West region to collect and share channel related information from Cupertino Product updates (i.e. new App UI design changes happening in the next App version) Editorial tools update (i.e. CMS roadmap, bug priorities) Represent the region to input to Cupertino on Channel status, plans, issues and progress Work closely with video teams in the local markets to scope monthly needs, risks and priorities. Assess market needs, volume and complexities to inform overall resource and scheduling impacts across the publishing teams Build and publish store turns and minis for other media types to maintain broader tool and workflow skills and support across the publishing team Work with editorial to ensure quality assurance checks of programming across current and new owned and 3rd party devices Support TV App campaigns originated from region, as needed and based on capacity

Education & Experience

University Degree Fluency in English required, another European language a plus
