At the Apple Online Store (AOS), its Engineering team is responsible for the global eCommerce platform that serves millions of customers around the world. We are a team highly skilled Software Engineering Managers, Engineers, Analysts and Project Managers based in Cupertino, London and Singapore. The Apple Online Store team in London is looking for an exceptional HTML/JavaScript Software Engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex and highly scalable web applications. You will help create pixel-perfect, robust and accessible user interfaces wielding the latest frameworks and tools in JavaScript, CSS, and web templates. Working alongside a Senior Software Engineer and other members of the team, your first project will be enhancing the Web Analytics applications on Apple’s Online Store.

Key Qualifications

  • Extensive years of experience in building pixel-perfect Web UI in: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience building Front-Ends for high traffic public facing web sites
  • Developing in open source web template languages (e.g. Mustache)
  • Creating design patterns in Web UI that are reusable, cross-browser compatible, and responsive
  • Strong understanding of two or more modern JavaScript libraries
  • Strong understanding of HTML5
  • Ability to develop new and innovative applications as well as debug and refactor existing code
  • Comfortable with source version control software (e.g. Git)
  • Must be committed to code quality. Must have experience with automated testing techniques
  • Good understanding of Web Analytics, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Accessibility
  • Exposure to Node.js and/or an isomorphic JavaScript library
  • Exposure to npm and dependency management
  • Exposure to Agile Development methodologies
  • Exposure to ECMAScript 6 (ES6)
