Description
The Cloud Infrastructure team, as part of the Apple Services Engineering organization, is seeking an exceptional Engineering Program Manager (EPM) who is passionate about Apple’s products and values, and who loves working with infrastructure technologies at scale. This is a highly technical, hands-on position where you will work with Data Services development and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams. Teams across Apple rely on us for infrastructure that help them build services that scale globally, are highly available, and "just work". We listen to different perspectives, help surface innovative ideas, and drive decisions that move us forward. You'll need a strong background in program and project management complemented by your technical abilities. You are skilled at driving software product development across a globally distributed organization and delivering new products and features that meaningfully surprise and delight our internal customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Program management, product management, systems engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent project management skills to drive schedules, dependencies, critical path and risks
- Solid technical understanding of large scale distributed software systems, event streaming, data pipelines, distributed databases, cloud architecture
- Strong relationship management and facilitation skills both within diverse engineering teams and cross functional organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey information in a clear, concise and credible manner
- Experience with release planning and SDLC methodologies
- Familiarity with system reliability engineering (SRE) process and deliverables
- Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
