Role Number:200550245
Apple is looking for a Module Process Integration Engineer to join our Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team. PPO Engineers are responsible for developing new, innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve complex design challenges that directly enable future Apple Displays and other Modules. The individual in this role will be a focal point in developing advanced key process modules and equipment from the concept/architecture stage through product engineering validation builds, with a focus on back-end module integration and/or Laser processing. We work at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly self-motivated. A successful candidate needs to be a flexible problem solver and be able to determine solutions outside of their core technical expertise areas.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in development of module processes and its integration in back-end processes of display, sensor, camera, optical assembly, or other related modules
  • Hands-on development of module processes such as lamination, bonding, forming, etc., and/or Laser processing
  • Solid understanding of materials such as conductive inks, adhesives, encapsulation materials, ACF, etc. and how to do material characterization
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to lead a project from lab scale development to high volume production
  • Demonstrated ability to perform DOEs, data analysis, and SPC control by using statistical software such as JMP
  • Sound understanding and experience in automation and production line integration
  • Demonstrated ability in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving for production yield and quality issues
  • Excellent data handling, documentation, and organization skills
  • Ability for international business travel to support project implementation and collaborate with external vendors for product manufacturing
