You will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfillment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail and Supply Chain. This role is part of our Trade Compliance team which supports Customs and Indirect Tax Compliance within Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. The role is based in our Cork Office and will focus on the compliance requirements for Customs Compliance across the region.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to learn technical aspects of Trade compliance and how that impacts the business.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to meet tight deadlines is essential.
  • This role requires exceptional levels of interrogation and an ability to interpret large volumes of information.
  • Systems (Excel, SAP/other ERP) are important.
  • Projects experience is an advantage.
  • You will possess excellent analytical, communication, presentation and organization skills.


Data is key: present accurate, fact-based information to allow for detailed insights of Trade data in a visual manner to aide decision makers. Extracting insights from multiple sources of data. Managing Trade data flows to ensure that data is gathered and meets hightest quality standards. Analysis of relevant declarations in line with other Trade Compliance areas. Reviewing and re-engineering of monthly compliance cycles in conjunction with the Compliance team, including deferment account management, funding planning, reconciliation, payments and postings. Developing processes and reporting for Apple’s continuing growth and product evolution. Responsible for preparation and submission of end of month declarations (such as PCC) to various authorities within designated tight deadlines. Business Partnering on Customs Compliance issues with various teams within Apple such as Apple Store, Logistics, Planning, BPR, Accounts Payable. Responding to Tax/ Customs Authorities on queries related to Trade Compliance. Gaining a deep understanding of the Apple Supply Chain as it pertains to Customs Compliance.
