Reporting to the Director of Planning, you will lead the dynamic team of EMEiA Supply Demand Management (SDM) in Cork. We are responsible for analysing sales and handling supply to meet demand of products within the EMEIA region (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa). We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated professional to join the SDM team as a lead manager to achieve apple’s financial plans by maximising sales with optimal inventory. This role is to specifically cover the line of business (LOB) iPhone lead with the ability to be lead for any of Apples products - iPad, Mac, Watch or Accessories.
- 10+ years relevant experience - Operations, Planning, Finance experience in fast moving product industry
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous with a keen eye for business and passionate about consumer focus.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and problem-solving skills in a changing and dynamic environment
- Experience in leadership roles, including leading teams within a supply chain environment
- Known to work in setting direction for process and/or tool improvements to support team objectives
- Excellent prioritisation skills and detail oriented
Lead, mentor and develop a team of highly qualified professionals. Analyse forecasted demand, inventory, and sell through to develop and run weekly and quarterly supply plans. Results should meet Apple’s quarterly financial revenue plans, while achieving order cycle time goals and minimising finished goods' liability. Evaluate risks to the plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate. Analyse product order bookings, backlog, and billings. Identify problem areas, and drive appropriate functional groups to correct. Handle any critical issues related to production or country allocation. Own communication of supply available for weekly shipments to sales, finance, logistics and world-wide SDM. Ensure supply plans support the direct channels (online &retail stores) and channel weekly sell through, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Coordinate with multiple internal teams to set launch quantities and ensure smooth product transitions to ensuring minimal “Excess and obsolete” (E&O) and appropriate inventory balance across countries. Improve product planning processes. Identify improvement opportunities, allocate resources and drive projects to completion to achieve targeted measurable benefits. Be a lead communication link into the EMEiA iPhone SDM organisation. Ensure that there are strong communications to support an excellent partnership and knowledge of the regional activities. Co-ordinate with other Regional SDM organisations as well as WW SDM to ensure that benefits in any Region can be shared on a global basis. Development of the SDM Management team and support for the overall strategic direction of the organisation. Ensure there is a strong development and talent management framework/ philosophy maintained. Critical focus on the customer experience around supply planning for each of the channels of business (Reseller, Online and Stores). Specific focus around timely response to critical issues and taking corrective action on any route causes. Building strong partnerships with Reseller Operations and Retail Fulfilment Operations to understand the “Voice of the Customer”
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree - minimum level 8 degree essential in IT, Business Analytics, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Maths or similar discipline If you feel you gave the relevant experience, you are encouraged to apply
