Channel Service Support is looking for a Readiness Project Manager to influence the design & implementation of system improvements, business process and reporting to support service across all products, channels and regions. This includes demonstrating a leadership role in complex, multi-phased projects; managing multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time; partnering with stakeholders in identifying scope, schedule and KPIs, tracking progress against goals; establishing standard reporting and forums with ability to summarize findings/status/alerts to core team members and senior level executives. Candidate should have experience with continuous process improvement, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams/owners and leading with limited information or oversight. The successful person must be able to relate to all project teams and become a trusted advisor and mentor to stakeholders. Individual must be able to lead and execute with multiple business partners, and provide EMEIA and Global management with accurate assessments of project and process approaches, issues and risks with corresponding recommendations. You have the ability look beyond the current process and define/implement processes that align to the organizations strategic goals, while also addressing potential future business needs. The ideal candidate for this position will have very strong leadership and influencing skills as well as business analysis skills.
- Recommended 3+ years Project Management experience
- Strong SAP skills, and experience working on Business Intelligence projects from scoping and design phase, to planning and implementation.
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to build effective leadership reporting
- Effective executive presentation skills
- Experience working with tools that impact processes and data
- Experience working in a large global complex organization
•Responsible for ensuring that new product repair strategies/programs and information system projects are appropriately developed to effectively meet requirements and are completed on time. •Demonstrates a high level of understanding of the project lifecycle (globally) and is able to effectively communicate project status and requirements. •Reviews business requirements, ensures clarity, and establishes goals and expectations for services requested. •Coordinates and participates in User Acceptance Testing and documentation of processes. May be required to run UAT from an AppleCare perspective on large projects affecting many areas across Apple. •Anticipates potential problems and works to provide and implement solutions to a wide range of issues, most with cross-functional aspects. Negotiates and sets expectations with team members and management. •Results-focused: Meets commitments and drives closure to open items. •Supports key business objectives. Develops innovative solutions, systems and products to support AppleCare objectives. • A low tolerance for ‘loose ends’ and “that’s how it’s always been done.” •Manages the EMEIA portfolio of projects. Works with IS&T, BPR (Business Process ReEngineering), SMEs, UAT teams, and Project Managers, to understand business impact of projects, important metrics, resource implications, etc. •Works with Team managers to ensure resources are in place to support EMEIA pipeline of projects. •Communicates project statuses to EMEIA management team, and ensures project managers have mitigation plans in place to minimize risk. •Identifies candidates to mentor though the life cycle of a project from within the organization.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience and or relevant experience. Project Management qualification desirable
