The successful candidate will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 350 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfillment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as being a member of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) function. The GBS Training & Development Specialist will hold a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements. You will design, iterate on existing programs, deliver and support organisational development and learning initiatives focused on Apples values and business priorities. Key Qualifications

  • Previous experience as part of a fast paced T&D Function
  • Experienced Trainer both classroom and online delivery
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in developing training modules with strong design & technical skills
  • Strong organisational and administration skills, with ability to anticipate business needs quickly
  • Experienced with dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Be a self-starter who is motivated, innovative and ambitious
  • Multiple Partner Engagement and Experience
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last minute changes with ease.

Description

- Collaborate on and implement a training & development strategy that supports the priorities of the overall business - Work both globally and locally, with key business partners to ensure programs are meeting overall business needs - Be key in driving T&D for GBS globally - Deliver and facilitate training as required using appropriate tools and methodologies - Use instructional design skills, technical skills and resources to ensure our training material is available on the best of platforms and crafted in the best way - Coordinate training from internal and external sources to meet the needs of the wider finance population - Key contact point for global talent development initiatives - Support the continuous improvement of T&D programs by staying abreast of best practices and new trends and developments in the area of Training and Talent Management - Maintain and communicate T&D metrics to the management team. - Be a subject matter expert for Learning & Development and a key resource for employees regarding development needs. - Ensuring all finance staff are aware of and kept updated on T&D initiatives with proactive communications and management of our Connect Me site & training calendar - Facilitation of networking & learning events for finance employees - Creation of and support of events across finance which educate the teams, as appropriate to business needs
