Apple SW group is looking for a talented Linux team lead to utilise Linux OS to validate apple products. You’ll be part of a highly visible team validating multi disciplinary complex system-on-chip (SoC) in a multiprocessor environment for future Apple products. A Linux team lead will develop Linux environment for delivering early and aggressive validation of Apple SoCs

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent C programming and debugging skills
  • Proficiency in Linux Kernel and device drivers development and debug
  • Proficiency in Linux BSP (Advantage)
  • Knowledge of operating systems internals


Develop Linux BSP and device drivers, integrate them into a stressful test environment. Maintain a Linux build , align with other projects and drive to stability and efficiency as a SW development, silicon stress, and debug environment. Work closely with design, verification, system, software, and post-silicon teams to understand SoC design, usage model, and existing coverage. Provide reference code, including drivers, test cases, and stress test combinations to platform developers. Develop infrastructure code and tools as needed to support an efficient and robust silicon validation environment. Debug issues reported on owned IP down to root cause. Debug issues on emulation and simulation platforms, per need. Be capable of reproducing issues found on other systems in the SiVal setup and control system knobs to exacerbate failures. Drive tools development and improvement for reducing debug turnaround time. Support chip bring up and initial debug.

B.Sc.EE/B.Sc. CE/M.Sc. EE
