The Israel Caffe Macs manager is responsible for planning, administering and supervising an organization’s Caffe Macs operations and services. Working closely with the vendor operation manger (whom continues to be responsible for running the day-to-day Caffe Macs operations, services & food courses). The role involves working to ensure that all day-to-day operational, financial and client activities are met as per company requirements, ensuring quality of the food, excellent service delivery, ongoing food innovation and meeting financial targets and maintaining high standards of hygiene while ensuring client and customer satisfaction. Main base of operation will be in Herzliya while the responsibility covers all Caffe Macs sites and operations (for now Haifa and Herzliya) including active regular presence on all the sites.

Key Qualifications

  • • 5+ years’ experience in catering preferred
  • • Possession of a full-service catering / restaurant staff required

Day to Day Management: • To ensure the highest standard of food quality, presentation and service are achieved and maintained at all times through Caffe Macs vendor • To ensure the agreed scope of service is delivered consistently on a daily basis • To maintain good communications and working relationships with vendor, clients, customers and all staff • To ensure the high standard of hygiene in all areas front and back of house • Handling complains relating to the service/food • To proactively seek to improve standards and service wherever possible • Remain customer focused and keen to interact with customers on a daily basis. • Focus on presentation, consistency and exceptional customer service • Arrange catering to all hands and various events • Work with vendor to plan to ensure all meals meet employees expectations • Raise relevant purchase orders Financial: • Consistently and proactively review financial and operational performance with onsite management team, monitor key financial and operational indicators • To review and approve monthly invoices • To prepare and agree on annual budgets / OPEX • To ensure weekly / monthly financial procedures are completed and reported and variances accounted for • To record and analyse daily transaction and spend • To provide monthly reports on: number of courses, spend etc’ • To review the real drill-down cost of each food course (Labour, food cost, overhead etc’…) • Working with the local tax authority to provide food usage per employee as part of the benefits. Quality and Safety: • To work with vendor to ensure appropriate control systems are in place to meet local regulation, Kosher needs, statutory, policy and contractual commitments • To ensure a complete food safety and monitoring system is in place • Ensure effective reporting and corrective actions are implemented for near misses, incidents and accidents • To ensure Apple induction is completed People: • Ensure efficient and engaged vendor’s team, follow Company guidelines for On-board / Off-board process , including Dishwashers with visa permits • Set new accounts - Apple connect for back-office employees and managers • Implement and evidence appropriate communication structure (weekly meetings with senior vendor team) • Management of vendor team within Apple Directory and badging system • Manage and Track access approval to lockdown area Communication: • Conduct online customer helpdesk, support and ongoing feedback surveys to ensure satisfaction • Compose various Caffe Macs communications and updates • Meet regularly with onsite departments to gather and review feedback and make corrective actions as necessary Projects: • Key involvement in kitchen planning and design and refurbishment projects • Manage ongoing maintenance issues or equipment improvements working with the on-site team
