The Imaging and Sensing group at Apple develops depth sensing systems such as the revolutionary True Depth camera that powers Face ID. This multi-disciplinary group of engineers is responsible for architecture, design, and development of these highly complex sensing systems for all Apple products. The Imaging and Sensing group is looking for an extraordinary computer vision and DNN researcher engineer to drive state of the art technologies for Apple products. As part of the team you would work on core hardware components, including the Apple computer vision pipeline, and machine learning neural engine, where you will have the chance to define the way that Apple develops, tests and manufactures all of its products. Our close-knit team fosters an environment of product innovation, rapid product iteration and collaboration at both team and multi-functional levels with a liberating amount of autonomy.
- 5+ year experience in research and development of computer vision algorithms
- Practical experience in Deep Learning with TensorFlow / Caffe or similar
- Experience in Python, OpenCV, C/C++ and Matlab development
- Familiarity with 3D geometry and depth sensing - advantage
- Advantage: experience in CPU/GPGPU code optimisations.
Ramp-up into using state-of-the-art camera sensors Design prototype computer vision algorithms for concept evolution Take part in a team effort to design high quality computer vision algorithm solutions Join forces and work with researchers from various Apple sites Take part in defining requirements for future camera sensors, in order to enhance computer vision capabilities.
Education & Experience
- M.Sc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics. - PhD is advantage.
