The QA Manager is part of Apple QA group, leading one of the QA teams, and is responsible for the assessment of vendor delivered Maps data.
- You have experience in handling large scale operations or complex projects within timelines and to budget, in high tech or financial industries
- Experience in Map Editing and Map Quality Processes and Analytics useful Strong organisational, analytical and critical thinking skills Extraordinary ability to collaborate and drive a solution in cases of ambiguity or dispute; keen eye for potential process improvements Consistent track records of executing Quality Processes with exemplary business judgment and leadership Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership and globally dispersed partners
- Extremely detail oriented, committed to the highest quality of work you're doing Experience in developing and presenting executive level briefs for business reviews, forecast delivery schedules and risk mitigations
- Ability to lead, support and coach a team MBA from a premier school preferred
The QA Manager has two goals: to ensure data meets the quality standard defined by process, and to provide feedback to improve both process and specifications, ensures a constant feedback from the QA team to the Production program management on quality trends. Leads the dialogue between partners in resolving specification and process ambiguities, Is the primary contributor of process, specifications and mapping tools improvements for the map projects in scope. You will tirelessly think of strategic and creative ways to evaluate and improve Maps data quality within the provided budget and timeline constraints. There is a validated focus on ensuring professional growth of the team while working towards operational quality. Every day, the QA Manager owns the execution of automated and manual data testing, reports the QA results, provides a summary of key drivers of quality issues and top error trends. Regularly provides recommendations on training and spec clarifications needed to improve data quality. Arbitrates and resolves disputed cases. Works with Engineering team to develop or improve QMS tools needed to execute the quality process efficiently and assists in testing tools before deployment. Creates pilot programs to test quality processes for mapping projects in pre-production phases, providing the final QA plan recommendation for the project launch. Facilitates seamless deployment of new production processes. Demonstrates deep domain knowledge, well versed with development and curation of all Map data layers, and is a go-to guide on product specifications. Fulfills process compliance and audit requirements, works with a sense of urgency to resolve compliance issues when reported. Education & Experience
