Key Qualifications

  • You should have at least8 years of relevant experience in program management, retail industry or management consulting
  • Ability to persuade and influence partners at different levels and work with different teams, both inside and outside the organization; ability to work with senior leaders
  • A data based approach to problem-solving and strong data analytics skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to express complex ideas simply and concisely and to create persuasive presentation decks
  • You have strong collaborative skills and be an efficient team leader.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • You should possess strong business insight
  • Open-mindedness and a problem-solving mindset
  • Team leadership experience, experience managing agencies, and managing a large budget are preferred
  • Knowledge of electronics or retail marketing is preferred but not required
  • Have the “will to win”, the energy and drive to tackle this significant challenge.
  • Role requires travel within India.

Description

The Head of Assisted Sales is responsible for leading the team which manages Apple’s field staff in India. The team not only manages the field staff but significantly influences Apple retail programs in India. The work of the Assisted Sales Team covers field staff management, store selection and management of the retail experience and sales data management and analysis and intelligence, as well as thought leadership on the retail sales experience. You will lead planning, implementation and monitoring of new initiatives related to Assisted Sales as the team continues to innovate, as well as management of regular work streams related to field staff and store management. You will work with program teams within India and central teams in London. The role requires working very closely with the sales teams across all levels as well as with external partners like staffing agencies. Retail excellence is the focus of this role. The individual will play an integral part in ensuring a superlative customer experience across multiple retail formats for all of Apple India. He/she will do so by leading a team to apply rigor to and find ways of continually improving field staff management and motivation for a large field staff, store selection, maintenance and exit, and overall retail excellence, while optimizing management and usage of an operating budget.
