We are seeking an analyst for our Quality Analyst Map Production team in India which is responsible for the analysis and acceptance of the vendor map deliveries that are in line with the Quality Map Production business function. You should be a self starter, motivated, with exceptional interpersonal skills as well as a positive and flexible approach to problems. This team also evaluates vendor deliveries against the Quality targets. The position reports into the Quality Manager for Map Production in Hyderabad, India.

Key Qualifications

  • You should have relevant experience in Map Editing as well as in Map Quality Processes & Analytics within larger scale production organisations
  • Work experience with vendors or suppliers along with proven track records of executing a Quality Process based on statistical sampling and participation in Manufacturing Quality Analytics, i.e. SixSigma, DMAIC, FMEA would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and an exceptional command over the English language is a pre requisite
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross and multi-functional, international teams as well as on the map development floor is a requisite
  • Strong experience in training peers and larger groups in a classroom environment is beneficial and experience in supply chain management and GreenBelt certification is an advantage

Description

As a part of this team, you will - Execute the Quality Evaluation Process of vendor deliveries according to the Quality Plan for Map Development. - Be involved in documents findings, fixing exceptions and report results of the area assigned - Assign sample size criteria for work executed in map production on area level - Support the execution of Automation Analytics, Six Sigma DMAIC, 8D/8 wastes as assigned - Participate in testing Quality Processes and Tools before deployment - Providing feedback to the on-site Quality Manager and participating in vendor audits on process compliance towards execution of their Quality Plan

Education & Experience

We are looking for someone with a background of Geo Science or Industrial/Production Engineering Degree along with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment in a Quality Function. Direct experience with Maps and Map Environments would be ideal. Certification(s) in either LEAN/SixSigma GreenBelt or BlackBelt, CM /OE or equivalent are an added advantage. Additional Requirements

  • - Quick learner with strong analytical skills
  • - Experience with spatial data processing tools like ArcGIS, QGIS
  • - Experience as QA considered a plus
  • - Ability to collaborate and work with the engineering team to elaborate on tool requirements for efficiency and quality improvements
  • - Ability to function effectively across multiple time-zones, cultures and business groups
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound command of English is required
  • - Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility
