As part of Apple's Machine Learning and AI team, we transform every Apple product and because we fully integrate hardware and software, we can collaborate to deliver amazing experiences while protecting the privacy of users and their data. We are looking for a leader in Special Projects, delivering meaningful customer impact by driving adoption of AIML research across Apple products. Past successes from this team include Personal Voice, digitally-narrated audiobooks, and Live Voicemail Transcription.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of overall experience with 5+ years building and leading a team of high-performing software engineers
  • Leadership skills necessary to build, lead, and develop a team around a unified vision
  • Experience developing and shipping AI/ML powered features and products to production
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with cross functional partners


In this role, you will own the charge in bringing to bear cutting-edge AIML research to drive innovation and develop strategic partnerships that shape the future of our products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams within Response / Siri Conversational Platform and across all partners to identify opportunities, drive feature development, and deliver transformative solutions to our customers. SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Lead the design and implementation of innovative products and features that leverage emerging AIML technologies to drive business impact. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify strategic partnerships and opportunities - Drive the end-to-end development process, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and iteration, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. - Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. - Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, evaluating their potential impact on our products and guiding the team in adopting relevant technologies and best practices. Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred Ph.D.
