The Business Process Re-Engineering team is looking for a thought leader to help drive critical engagements focused on Apple’s Product Lifecycle Management and Data Foundation initiatives. This includes focus on Process re-engineering and Data Management. The candidate for this role has a combination of business acumen and technical knowledge, used to deliver impactful solutions in support of rapid decision-making and process efficiencies, with focus on supporting the growth of Apple’s products and key Operations and sustainability initiatives. This person will also play a critical role in the recommendation of Apple’s Ops data strategy, current application landscape, and supporting Apple’s Product data across the Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have deep process re-engineering experience, expertise on technologies to support, and be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment.  Prior hands-on manufacturing & supply chain product data management with a leading consumer electronics company is a must. This role is highly visible, interacting with executives and networking across Apple’s organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in electronic product manufacturing with extensive knowledge of electronic product supply chains and manufacturing principles, practices, concepts, and terms
  • Understanding of enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) and related systems and technologies
  • Strong background in program management and leading adoption of large scale cross functional engagements
  • Proven track record in development and implementation of multi-year strategies solving complex business problems and delivering new enterprise capabilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to cut through ambiguity and synthesize a coherent strategy that delivers business value for multiple competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior level executives across Apple.
  • Experience consulting with executives and subject matter experts (SME) eliciting, synthesizing, and refining business requirements
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal with diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
  • Demonstrated thought leadership with ability to investigate, propose, and implement new and emerging state of the art technologies
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments where attention to detail is required

Description

The WW BPR Supply Chain group works across Apple teams to deliver innovative solutions including system integration across the supply chain and analytics capabilities. The team partners across Apple to develop, maintain and implement solutions that bring efficiency with embedded data quality. This role is accountable for the relationships and solutions to deliver optimal business results. Key responsibilities include: Shape the strategy and roadmap for Apple’s Ops Data Foundation, including key decisions on data management and technology stack. Develop a cohesive and compelling vision for a comprehensive and integrated ecosystem of solutions, evangelize and translate the vision into actionable system and technology roadmaps, and champion the implementation cross-functionally. Shape the cross functional requirements to deliver the security framework platform for Ops. Engage teams, cross-functional leadership and subject matter experts to drive data governance principles and pragmatic adoption within Ops. and with partner teams. Catalog the data definitions and integrations, while ensuring the the data is manageable and provides more support to accelerate data-driven digital transformation. Partner across Apple to envisage futuristic use cases through a lens of the “Digital Supply chain”. Deploy strategies for executing on these from ingesting new data streams, connecting the supply chain data through the adoption and realization of business benefits. Work with Apple’s IS&T team and external vendors to drive the development of tools and data models to better support Data Governance, Security and Business Analytics. Drive change management and adoption for solutions deployed, ensuring seamless integration across Apple's supply chain operations. Resolve any Data Governance challenges across different functions with the goal of landing on common definitions to move forward. Own the hard calls, determining trade-offs and mitigating risks to deliver optimal business results. Foster a culture that appreciates diverse perspectives and debate to drive the best outcomes for Apple.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, CIS/MIS, MBA / MS, or related discipline with an information technology focus is preferred.
