The Health Sensing Hardware team develops ground breaking health sensors that are central to helping our customers live a healthier lifestyle. We are looking for a systems engineer with a passion for applying systems engineering principles to lead the product life cycle of complex health sensors and medical devices features. You will work closely with domain experts and product collaborators to define user requirements and business requirements for sensors and features, evaluate design candidates, and oversee the verification and validation activities for our products. You will play a key role in coordinating activities across value streams by providing requirements management support across platforms and features.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience and consistent track record in systems engineering and/or sensor hardware development.
  • Passion for defining and applying systems engineering standard processes for developing high quality products, including the use of requirements engineering and risk analysis to drive verification/validation strategies.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams in both structured and unstructured work environments.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and communications skills.
  • Background in one or more of the following:
  • Knowledge of human physiology, experience with user testing, and analyzing sensor data to extract physiological metrics.
  • Optics, sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and sensor algorithms.
  • Electrical engineering, analog-mixed signal circuits, and embedded systems
  • Mechanical engineering, electromechanics, product design
  • AI, machine learning and statistics.
  • Experience with Medical device development with exposure to regulatory and quality systems preferred.

Description

- Engage in full life-cycle engineering of sensors and features from feature definition, sensor technology scoping, prototyping, design, and verification/validation testing. - Drive multi-functional discussions, including problem solving, requirements definition and decomposition, and V&V coverage definition across various functions and subject areas. - Lead all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the requirements management system by maintaining the requirements management plan and incorporating guidance from partners. - Proactively identify gaps or weakness in management systems, and implement continuous improvement activities that are intended to prevent quality issues and nonconformance.

Education & Experience

- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant shown experience
