Seeking an expert professional who brings expertise in the Optical manufacturing and quality management of high precision components for camera or other optical devices. As Core Technology Quality Engineers, they are responsible for driving quality improvement actions on future products. They enable a mass production capable manufacturing processes and develop plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development breakthrough. They approach problems in an engineering method and make data driven decision. Quality Engineers also bring up capable suppliers which can implement at a high level in an ongoing basis.

Description

- Work with vendors to setup robust quality system, control plan, quality gates and conduct audits to ensure vendors are consistently meeting Apple quality standards. - Partners with supply chain functional teams to define, validate and optimize module CTQ requirements, quality control plan, spec limits and guard-bands. - Digitize quality readiness dashboard and quality matrix to keep track of factory quality ramp readiness and quality performance from development stage until mess production. - Participate in Engineering and Ops Core Team meetings to influence quality requirements. - Host task force meetings, collaborate with cross function teams and vendors in resolving quality or reliability issues/excursion, RCCA, prevention and disposition plan. - Lead supply chain inspection, dimension and test metrology correlation. - Hands-on in data analysis to deep dive the root cause, to predict and prevent for better quality control. - Identified opportunities and bring in innovative ideas in driving Smart Quality initiatives, cost of quality reduction, green manufacturing, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in developing Process Quality Plans (PQP), supplier quality audits, FMEA, 8D, FishBone and DOEs.
  • Proficient in Quality tools, metrology, MSA, GDnT, SPC, CPK, GRR and Correlation.
  • Proficient with statistical, and data analytical skill and familiar with JMP / Minitab / Tableau or equivalent tools.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese written and oral communication.
  • Excellent on net-it-out communication and exec level presentations.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master, Bachelor, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of industry experience in Optics, Physics, Opto-mechanics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in electro-optical modules assembly, inspection and test process development/manufacturing.
  • Experience in Optical technology, test and metrology are preferred.
  • Experience in defining cosmetic inspection condition, specifications, and limit samples are preferred.
