We are seeking a multi-talented individual to be a key member of the IT Team in EMEA. This will be someone who enjoys working in cross-functional projects, to ensure IT aspects are voiced and considered, likes to get their hands dirty with technical proof-of-concepts, is disciplined to provide weekly status reports and is always looking for areas of improvement. The successful candidate will work directly with both local IT teams and our global team to assist in delivering a first-class learning environment to our pedagogy friends (essentially our customer) while maintaining strict security and data privacy compliance. This role will involve liaising between IT, operations and pedagogy teams covering both day-to-day and project activities. The successful candidate should be able to multitask, prioritize work (in line with guidelines), issue reports and recommendations based on cross-function activities, provide insight into the technical impact of projects and work well in a global team. The Apple Academy Program is an innovative educational program designed to grow learners to become well versed in all aspects of becoming a developer; UI/UX, Business and Presentation Skills, Coding, Analysis, Testing and more.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands on team leadership / project management experience
  • 5+ years macOS and iOS Support experience with experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • 5+ years Infrastructure (network and server/services) support experience, with Extreme (Aerohive) Networking Technologies a bonus
  • Experience in design, deployment and maintenance of macOS and Unix Server system
  • Experience in Vendor Management and external partners
  • Experience with managing and maintaining Audio Visual networks and associated controllers (Crestron)
  • Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to apply business logic to client computer, network and audio-visual network requirements
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work without direct supervision

Description

Liaison between Academy teams at various sites covering technology needs, issues and projects. Manage technical cross-functional projects in the given region Monitor all internal systems and apply the appropriate workflow when something unexpected occurs Manage the process of development, packaging, notarization, testing and distribution of executables Provide weekly activity reports for various systems and services Assist the network team to monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure consisting of switches, routers and firewalls utilizing combinations of fibre optic, copper and wireless infrastructures Architect, test, implement and maintain new solutions to benefit services, systems and users Ensure adherence with government policies, procedures, structure; applicable local, state and federal laws, codes, regulations and ordinances for data collection in various jurisdictions. Research, develop, implement, maintain and provide training on new networking, client management and Audio Visual technologies Conduct regular review meetings with Vendors, Clients and IT Staff Liaise closely with Academy partners to predict, plan and execute their requirements Perform other job-related duties as assigned
