Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages and provides services to our stores and workplaces. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio. Our team leads all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs. We do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world.
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated senior facilities professional to join our team and be responsible for the facilities maintenance of Apple’s retail stores in the EMEIA region.
Key Qualifications
- Experience leading a full-scale in-sourced facilities or project management team tasked with delivering outstanding results in a fiscally responsible manner
- Significant facilities management experience with a high level understanding of construction/project management.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering outstanding retail stores or workplaces.
- Extensive experience in large developments such as retail store expansions, campuses, and other hyper scale construction
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build comprehensive Preventative Maintenance plans and tools to monitor them closely.
- Deep expertise in the planning, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and executing of all technical services required to maintain and improve a large retail portfolio.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with the upkeep and function of buildings, building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing),controls, fire-alarm, janitorial, landscaping, flooring, lighting, furniture, warehousing, pest control, interior plants, and quality improvement projects
- Proven people manager who builds capabilities of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication and coaching
- A self starter who thrives in a fast paced environment with passion for retail excellence.
Description
• This role will be responsible for leading a team of facilities managers and closely collaborating with different organizations to provide top management and support of the UK and other EMEIA regions
• Provide guidance, leadership, support and mentorship to the facilities team in order to grow individuals within the team and to identify and resolve maintenance issues and opportunities across the fleet.
• Close collaboration with Retail leadership to establish fiscal plans and regional strategies to support the fleet as well as support for various facilities issues at retail stores
• Drive functional and operational excellence of all projects and programs by providing consistent and prescript feedback to all cross functional teams including real estate, design, innovation, standards, merchandising, direct sourcing, security, IS&T, etc.
• Partner and collaborate with various internal Apple teams to ensure alignment between the RE&D team and the wider Operational Business to ensure the successful creation and implementation of tools, systems and processes
• Minimum 50% travel required to tour all stores in Geo, meet with facilities team, manage vendors, and drive expectations on operational results
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Construction Management preferred.
