WFM Configuration Manager and WFM Lead - EMEA
The Global Workforce Management configuration Manager job is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for overseeing the Global WFM Configuration Team while serving as the Workforce Management Lead for EMEA. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and optimizing workforce management solutions across a complex, multinational enterprise, ensuring alignment with business strategy, labor compliance, and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will lead a team of WFM Configuration Analysts, driving innovation, automation, and best practices in workforce management technology. Additionally, you will be the primary WFM leader for the EMEA region, building relationships with cross functional partners, including ER, People Business Partners, IS&T, Retail Operations, and GPO teams, to ensure UKG WFM solutions support both regional and global business priorities.
This role requires deep technical expertise in UKG WFM (Kronos), including configuration, integrations, SQL, APIs, and automation, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
As a Manager of the Global WFM Configuration Team, you will:
- Lead a team of WFM configuration analysts in documenting business requirements, designing high quality solutions, and managing implementation and process change
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and problem solving capabilities, empowering them to take full ownership of system configurations and optimizations.
- Reviewing and documenting existing system configuration and presenting detailed comparisons for to-be analysis
- Establish training and knowledge sharing programs to develop technical expertise across the team and ensure long term sustainability of WFM solutions
- Guiding the development of application test plans, working closely with other teams for issue escalations and fixes.
- Design, implement, and optimize WFM configurations to improve scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce optimization.
- Oversee the development of scripts, integrations, APIs, and SQL queries that enhance system capabilities and data accuracy.
- Stay ahead of emerging workforce management trends and technologies, ensuring that WFM capabilities remain innovative and future proof.
- Work closely with IS&T to ensure that system enhancements align with the broader Workforce Management Program roadmap.
- Drive standardization and best practices in system configurations, integrations, and automation, ensuring global scalability and operational excellence.
AS THE EMEA WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT LEAD, YOU WILL:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all WFM related inquiries, escalations, and strategic discussions within the EMEA region.
- Build strong relationships with cross functional partners, ensuring that WFM solutions align with regional workforce policies, compliance requirements, and business priorities.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for WFM enhancements, process optimization, and technology innovation.
- Advocate for EMEA specific workforce needs within the broader global WFM strategy, ensuring that regional labor laws, union agreements, and compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure that all WFM system configurations comply with regional labor laws, CBAs, and corporate policies, mitigating compliance risks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology
- Deep experience in UKG WFM configuration
- Demonstrable expertise in configuring UKG Workforce Central, including Time and Attendance, Employee Scheduling, and WIM Interfaces
- Strong understanding of SQL, APIs, integrations, and workforce automation.
- Relevant certifications from UKG
- Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building partnerships across HR, IS&T, Retail Operations, and People Business Partners.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Understanding of the project lifecycle including gathering and documenting requirements, performing UAT, rolling out the project to the process area, and supporting warranty efforts including configuration, scheduling, timekeeping, pay rules, and labor compliance.
- Experience managing and adhering to development sprint cycles and scheduled release management
- Knowledge of labor laws, union agreements, and CBAs across the EMEA region.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last minute changes with ease
- Experience in leading a team across several project work streams
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop solutions according to changing business needs
- Ability to manage a complex global project development portfolio and deliver correct, comprehensive results on time
- Capacity to connect and effectively engage with the relevant teams to achieve the desired results
