Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

- Implement preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and perform component-level repairs to maximize uptime of semiconductor R&D tools
- Analyze equipment data, implement upgrades and modifications, and develop countermeasures to prevent failures, contributing to increased yield and reduced operational costs.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, manage spare parts inventory, and handle small to medium-sized projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, generate detailed reports, and develop emergency recovery plans to ensure continuous and safe operation of critical R&D equipment.
- Independently address equipment issues and act as the primary point of contact during off-hours, ensuring seamless support for ongoing operations
- Flexibility to work shifts outside of 9am-5pm
- 3+ years of experience within a semiconductor R&D or manufacturing environment
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing Vacuum wafer fabrication equipment (such as Dry etch, ALD, PECVD, PVD or similar)
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing principles and processes
- Experience with CMP and backend equipment is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Dedication to safety and quality
- Experience with project management and inventory control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Proficiency with computer applications, including data analysis tools and documentation software (Microsoft equivalents are acceptable)
- AutoCAD or Solidworks is a plus
