The Worldwide Operations Finance team is looking for a finance professional to serve as the WW Freight Payment / FP&A Senior Analyst. This is a crucial and highly visible position that will interact with finance and business partners on a global scale. In this role you will collaborate with the Business Process Owner (BPO) to drive efficient global audit processes while ensuring that proper data is collected in order to facilitate detailed financial analysis. Concurrently, the primary goal within the FP&A space is to drive and improve the analysis and planning deliverables related to forecast and quarter-end close to Corporate FP&A, NPI Finance, and our business partners within the Logistics supply chain and Supply Demand Management (SDM). The analyst will work closely with regional finance and regional/worldwide operations teams. The ideal candidate would have financial planning & analysis experience and freight payment oversight experience in a global or regional role with a multinational company. Previous operations finance experience is strongly preferred. The position creates crucial reporting, analysis, business insight deliverables for senior executives/management. The candidate must be able to clearly articulate the key business drivers related to global logistics spend (freight, duty, and distribution spend) and drive down to significant details with deep adhoc modeling & analysis where necessary.

Description

Roles and responsibilities for this position include the following: Freight payment - Serve as member of the freight payment steering committee, supporting an international team in setting and executing the long term vision for freight payment - Partner with the Operations team to set and evaluate performance goals for Apple’s third party freight payment providers - Co-manage (with the BPO) operational relationships with pre-audit and post-audit providers - Drive global standardization, efficiency, and cost control in end-to-end freight bill audit process -Interact with all levels (from analyst to Executive VPs) and departments (such as other Finance groups, or IS&T, Facilities, Procurement, Logistics, Planning etc.). - Own continued development, evolution, and execution of freight pay long term strategy. FP&A - Support the WW Freight/Duty & DC spend analysis and reporting related to monthly forecast, long-range forecast, Cost Pub, and ad hoc requests - Support WW Logistics/WW Supply Chain organizations in ad hoc analysis relating to cost drivers, payment process, and new product costing related to freight, duty, and DC spend - Ensure the effectiveness and consistency of proper freight payment key controls - Interact with all levels and departments (such as other Finance groups, IS&T, Facilities, Procurement, Logistics Operations, Planning etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years professional work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with operation and financial audit
  • Proven analytical and logic abilities
  • Collaborative; able to build consensus among cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
  • Hands-on financial experience performing forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in financial operational improvement
  • Intrinsic desire to challenge the status quo, improve processes, and build value
  • Expert spreadsheet (Excel) skills
  • Experience with Tableau and/or other data visualization systems

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance preferred.
