Apple's Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team is looking for a Software Engineering Leader to lead our engineering team in delivering big data analytic solutions to Apple business problems. Our team’s mission is to protect, optimize, and empower Apple and our customers through data science, machine learning, and automation. We deliver high impact solutions across all of Apple’s lines of businesses.

Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading highly functional software engineering teams
- Proven track record in hiring and developing high levels of engineering talent
- Experience delivering technical solutions to complex business problems
- Demonstrable ability to adapt solutions to changing conditions
- Ability to develop and leverage partnerships to address complex problems
- Expertise in a programming language such as Python, Java, or Clojure
- Experience building applications using technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra
- Understanding of the complete software development lifecycle from requirements to production operations
- Previous experiences in machine learning and data science are relevant
Description
Apple's SDS organization has an immediate opening for a Software Engineering Leader to lead a team of ~50 Software Engineers. This person will lead an Apple cross-functional team that designs, develops, and supports innovative software solutions to support SDS’ automated decisioning efforts in fraud prevention, operations optimization, legal compliance, and others. They will manage software engineering deliverables within each functional line of business and also deliver SDS-wide solutions where appropriate.
Education & Experience
Education in Computer Science or comparable technical field
