This role is in our Record to Report Accounting Hub team. We support functions such as Revenue, Treasury, Copyright, Inventory and Intercompany. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfilment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as Global Business Solutions

Key Qualifications

  • Skilled in process mapping with a desire to analyse current processes with a view to develop efficiencies while keeping compliance to the forefront
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • SAP S4 Hana/RAR/Tableau/Dataiku knowledge
  • Enjoy working with a team, in an environment of evolving business priorities and timelines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to identify areas for alignment with other regional GBS teams
  • Proven track record of effective engagement and communicate across organisations and external partners

Description

Become a subject matter expert for Revenue, Treasury & Copyright (RTC) across the EMEIA entities, developing key RTC metrics and reporting to management Support reporting and reconciliations via various systems such as GBI, Tableau, SAP PD2 and Hana. Assist in developing global processes while seeking efficiencies in processes through innovative ideas Responsible for preparation of relevant local GAAP disclosures Responsible for UAT of new projects as they launch to ensure compliance and accounting flows are in line with local and US GAAP standards Ensuring financial data is recorded in accordance with established company policies and Local GAAP and ensuring SOX controls compliance Develop relationships and work closely with business partners to build knowledge within the RTC team, and broader R2R accounting function Develop and implement effective task prioritization strategies to ensure urgent ad-hoc tasks are delivered on time while ensuring compliance This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements

Education & Experience

Relevant degree Qualified/Part Qualified accountant
